There are four home units available, all four are the same model, however if your mains water supply has less than 50 psi pressure then you will need to unit with a 12v dc pressure booster pump. RO units treat the water by filtering it though a membrane similar to a polythene sheet. Around 25% of all the water treated will go through the membrane and approx 75% will go to waste along with all of the contaminants contained in the water. However as the water storage tank fills, a back pressure is applied to the RO membrane and this reduces the efficiency of the membrane. In order to compensate, a permeate pump can be used with our standard unit. The choice of units therefore includes;

Mains tap water connection B, uses a taping saddle that connects onto copper supply pipe. The fitting clamps onto the pipe, and cuts its own hole. The water is supplied to the 5 stage RO unit, the water passes through a sediment filter, two carbon filters, the R.O membranes and then into the pressurized storage tank C. When tap A is opened, the water exits to storage tank, back through the sterilising carbon filter and then out of the tap. In all, the water passes through 5 stages of filtration to provide water of an extremely high quality.
